While Miley Cyrus was in Germany to promote her “Breakout” album, she was asked how she feels about the comparison of her between Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Here’s what she had to say :

“Um, I think they are both really talented and, I don’t know about around here, but at the Video Music Awards and everything, Britney Spears has been taking all the awards home and has really had quite a comeback. So, I just think that they are super successful and hopefully when I am compared to them, it’s them [...] career-wise because they have all been super successful and had amazing careers and they are both really talented.” (SOURCE)

The intro for Miley’s comment intimated that Miley practiced those lines wishing for something “better”.

First of all, I consider that question a bait question. For a 15 yr old, I think that’s as candid and articulate she could get. Seriously, what did you expect her to say? Unless of course you want her to say something crappy and then get her back in the media which was the intention all along.

Way back from when they first started, all the way back to The Mickey Mouse Club, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have been coaxed, poked, encouraged, manipulated, rumored, prodded, written, and instigated to have a “rivalry”. Call it whatever you want. While the 2 Pop Stars were happy getting their foot into the music industry, the mainstream media were even happier to have found the gold mine. 2 Stars, from the house of Mickey Mouse, whom probably during their time in Disney were actually bestfriends are making waves in the Pop Music genre at the same time. Pretty much. Talk about a storyline of all storylines for media and tabloids to exploit and capitalize on.

Who deserved to take over Madonna’s throne? They didn’t realize Madonna is going to stay on that throne as long as she wants to, heh. Who sold more albums? Who will lose her virginity first? Who will show up in a slutty outfit? Who will crack first? Whose life is more worthy to paparazzis’ paycheck. I think we know all the answers to that, don’t we? At this point, it’s just a matter of personal preference.

2008 VMA is almost here, performers are being announced left and right. Are you voting for your favorite deserving artists? More infos are being “leaked” or rumored about more presenters and performers. Here’s one for you..

Miley Cyrus is rumored to be in attendance to maybe accept her Best New Artist Award and to present an award in a category that will soon be announced.

Furthermore, the High School Musical cast (Corbin Bleu, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale) will also be making an appearance to present an award. Which one? Don’t know yet. I will keep you posted.

2008 Video Music Awards will be on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 9PM SHARP (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT) and hosted by British actor Russell Brand.

Watch out Nick Jonas, Hooray to Nick’s fans (who hates Miley, that is), coz Jese McCartney is talking about possibly having a date with Miley Cyrus if she asked him. But first, she must have a driver license. Watch the interview below:

Jesse loves Miley’s first single which ironically happens to be ‘7 Things’ and has been clouded with rumors that it’s about “ex”-boyfriend Nick Jonas. Ooohhhh. But yes, if Miley asked Jesse on a date, sure, he’ll do it. Hmmm, how about be the gentleman Jesse and YOU ask Miley instead. They you guys could collaborate on a new single for your upcoming albumsa, respectively.

During the FN’MTV last night, the Jonas Brothers revealed to Pete Wentz that they will be performing at the 2008 VMA’s which will be on September. Can’t remember the exact date right now but I think it’s the 2nd. Anyhooo, Pete asked them what their favorite VMA performance was and the Teen Pop Group said it’s the one with Britney performing “I’m A Slave 4 U” where she had that huge snake around her neck on 2001. So here we go, the video of Britney at one of her best VMA performances.

There was a rumor circulating around a few months ago the Britney might be appearing at this year’s VMA to hopefully top her last year’s disastrous performance. I have a feeling the Jonas Brothers were teasing us with more Britney rumors to come. I hope Britney performs at the VMA actually. *crosses my fingers*

Every time I hear somebody refer to Pop Stars as role models, I get violently ill. Seriously. And I’m not blaming the pop stars. Responsibility lies on the media who are so incessant in labeling these young stars. And the grown ups who passes on the job to well, save their own ass. As far as I’m concerned, they’re giving these kids too much responsibility. Well isn’t that part of their jobs? Said whom? And by which standards should these Pop Stars be role models?

Britney Spears had to lie about staying a virgin until she gets married because her record company pretty much forced her to tell every member of the Press to say so. Even though she’s posing clandestinely in the cover of a Rolling Stone magazine and in her first video she was wearing a hot and sexy catholic school girl uniform. Do I have to point out what has happened in Britney’s life in the past 3 years? But kudos to her for looking like she’s trying to pull everything together now. Losing her children and a trip to a psyche ward might have done it. Oh and having to pay family members for being her conservators.

Don’t know if you’ve heard but Janet Jackson is not happy with how Island Def Jam is treating her debut album (Discipline) under the label. Discipline only sold a dismal 390,000 copies in the US. Janet’s first single off of the album only reached #39 in the charts. The second single ‘Rock Wit U’ didn’t even make a dent in the charts while the 3rd single ‘LUV‘ only made it to #34. Because of this and her disappointment with the lack of promotion from Island Def Jam, Janet decided not to release any more single.

This is very unfortunate. I dig the album, it’s ok I guess. It’s Janet. But then again, I prefer the remix version of Feedback with Ciara, heh. I guess the fans has outgrown Janet’s style of music? How does this affect her upcoming tour? No news yet on that but I hope it’s still a go. Janet has always been a great concert performer. Maybe this would change sales somehow.
