David A shared  that they’re getting close to picking which songs make it into the album. Here’s the an excerpt from David Archuleta’s Myspace Blog :

Hey guys! We’re getting close to making final decisions on which songs are going to go on the album, and it’s pretty exciting! The last few days have mainly been recording still, and just finalizing the songs to see which ones will be the best fit.

Check out David’s blog to read more about his day in Disneyland when he attended Miley Cyrus’s 16th birthday bash, and some laughs with fellow American Idol alumni Brooke White and her husband.

The song is quite mellow. It sure catches the teen oh fine, the young love emotion (and hormones, hehe) . A little sadness with a dose of sweetness enough to melt all the young fans’ hearts out there.

In The Deluxe Edition of NKOTB’s The Block you’ll get 4 more extra songs. While the 13 songs involve more of an grown-up Hot, Sexy, “they’re a bunch of horny guys” songs, the 4 added songs are the proverbial love songs.

Very smart in my opinion. If you only want to listen to NKOTB singing about wanting to yah know, buy The Standard Edition (orange cover). Or try to win a copy from Pop Music Scene. If years ago their love songs were more of Puppy Love songs, this time around, as the boys call it, the mature-grown-up-Man-Love-Songs. Alrighty Then .

I picked up both The Standard Edition (13 songs) and The Deluxe Edition (13 + 4 bonus songs) of NKOTB’s much-anticipated reunion album, The Block. I could honestly say the sound has matured. It’s more sensual. Each song, accompanied with today’s music in the POP genre, and smart collaborations with who’s who in the Music industry (Ne-Yo, Lady Gaga, Pussycat Dolls, Akon and even New Edition), all the efforts are going to be successful. NKOTB’s fans are going to be happy with this album and will undoubtedly gain new fans from the younger/new crowd.

Having said all that, if you really want my honest to goodness review, no holds barred, no BS, click for more…

The Block is hot, sexy, SEX, satisfying someone, unrequited sex-love-making however you want to call it album. In short, all the songs have a connotation of someone being horny. Oh My Gosh. Hey, I’m being honest here. There’s nothing wrong with that direction, right? If years ago the NKOTB boys were singing about being in love and feeling this innocent cute affection, “I will love you for the rest of my life-put our posters in your bedroom wall, kiss us before you say goodnight and dream about you and I getting married” this time around, NKOTB is singing about hooking up, they wanna freaking have sex, in the Summertime or in the hood of a car, or doing Dirty Dancing, and don’t worry coz they’re going to give you a Full Service.  Song titles like the ones mentioned above and others like Sexify My Love, PCD Nicole’s sensual voice in Grown Man are a dead giveaway.

I know you guys were wondering what happened to the NKOTB appearance on Today Show yesterday. Because the show had to cover the weather, aka Gustav, NKOTB’s appearance was postponed until Thursday, September 4th.

Avenue is simply put, the Boy Band from UK Pop. Furthermore, the group is being dubbed at the boy band of the 21st century. The group is under Islands Records which happened to be be where other UK Artists are signed like Sugababes, Mika and The Feelings.

Avenue consists of : Max George (19), Andy Brown (21), Ross Candy (20), Jonny Lloyd (24) and Scott Clarke (23).

Max George (19) – Played football for England School Boys, Has 6 lizards, Is a huge Man City Fan

Andy Brown (21) – Plays the guitar and songwrites, Comes from Liverpool and was in a Beatles tribute band for 4 years, Appeared on Stars In Their Eyes Kids when he was 13

Ross Candy (20) – Is Scottish, Plays guitar and piano and has sung with Red Hot Chili Pepper drummer Chad Smith, Is an alumni of the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford.

Jonny Lloyd (24) – Has danced for Girls Aloud, Geri Halliwell and Rachel Stevens, Used to be Head Chorister in the Church choir, Was a body double for Duncan James.

Scott Clarke (23) – Was a Griffindor in the first Harry Potter movie, Has a Blackbelt in Karate, Received a standing ovation from Michael Jackson during a Jackson tribute show that he took part in.
