August 7, 2008 by Dexie

Here’s a new installment from CamileTV featuring a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good

What do you think? I like it surprisingly. This is the kind of genre Camille Velasco is sooo good at because of her earthy, deep and soulful voice. I wish she’d cover Mercy by Duffy next time. I think she’ll be great at it as well. Good job Camile. BTW, she looks great, doesn’t she?

Katy Perry’s Alloy Interview

August 5, 2008 by Dexie

katy-perry-july08_ncKaty Perry gave a really good interview with Alloy.com recently. She answered questions regarding her huge hit, “I Kissed A Girl“. She said she knew it was going to make a splash but she didn’t anticipate it going this big. It’s now being compared to Rihanna’s “Umbrella”. She briefly discussed the gospel album she released when she was younger. Explaining how the switch is not that big of a deal.

Katy also expressed her wish to have dinner with Madonna and pick her brain. She wants to learn the secret of her longevity, pretty much. And how she was very stoked when she heard that the Pop Queen likes Katy’s song, “Ur So Gay”. Read the whole interview at Alloy.com.

Paula Abdul & Jesse McCartney | A Possible Collaboration

August 1, 2008 by Dexie

Premiere Of Touchstone Pictures' "Swing Vote" - Arrivals

Paula Abdul, known as the weird judge from American Idol who is a Grammy Winner Pop Star back in the days actually was a phone guest at Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix last Monday, and boy did she talk. She talked about Ryan Seacrest, the Emmy’s, and her plans of turning a movie into a Broadway show starring by none other than herself (of course). Even though the DJ’s prodded her for more info, Paula said she couldn’t reveal anything else until she secured the rights to the movie.

And then Jesse McCartney phoned in and Paula praised him for the success of “Leavin“. The next thing you know, Jesse and Paula are announcing a collaboration together with the legendary songwriter Oliver Leiber. Paula said she wants to do something fresh and new. And I guess Jesse McCartney is it.

Jonas Brothers’ Cover Of Shania Twain’s ‘I’m Gonna Getcha Good’

July 31, 2008 by Dexie

Jonas Brother and Shania Twain, well that just jump started my day :). To tell you the truth, it was Shania Twain who got me interested in the Country Music genre. I know it existed, just wasn’t into it as much as I am into other music genres. So yes I love her. Anyhoooooo, here’s a snippet of the Jonas Brothers singing a cover of Shania’s “I’m Gonna Getcha Good” during a sound check session with BOP and Tiger Beat.

I wish the video was longer, oh well. I think Shania Twain will be very proud, nonetheless.
