Miley Cyrus Performs ‘The Climb’ On Idol

April 16, 2009 by Dexie

Miley Cyrus performed her song "The Climb" on American Idol elimination show last night, April 15th. "The Climb" is from the Hannah Montana The Movie soundtrack.

I like Miley Cyrus so I’m going to be honest here and I hope she and her fans take this as a constructive criticism. Miley needs to take voice lessons. She needs to take control of her tone, pitch, registry, and delivery.  She was very nasal last night. Actually, that’s how she sings. It’s not as obvious when she’s singing upbeat songs but with a song like ‘The Climb’ wherein she delivers it so dramatically, it’s very clear how she’s singing nasally.

Don’t use her age (16) as an excuse of the way she sings because there are other singers her age and even younger who knows how to control their tone and pitch when singing huge songs. Have you heard of Charice? Now that girl could sing.

So that’s my advice to Miley. She needs to stop making stupid, funny videos on YouTube. Go to the studio, hire an expert for some voice lessons instead. It’s for her own good especially if she wants this Music thing to go as further as she wants.

Miley Cyrus Is A Golden Globe Nominee

December 12, 2008 by Dexie

Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, is a Golden Globe nominee in the Best Original Score for the song “I Thought I Lost You” from the movie “Bolt“. Miley co-wrote this song with Jeffrey Steele. According to Miley during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she kind of just threw it all together real fast with Jeffrey. It was the last song she thought it would ever nominated for anything because it just felt so easy. She added that she understands why it’s nominated because after listening to the song with John Travolta’s part, you could detect real friendship between them and it speaks truly with the lyrics.

Miley Cyrus Performance At 2008 American Music Awards

November 23, 2008 by Dexie

2008 American Music Awards - Show

Miley Cyrus looked like she had an amazing time performing at the 2008 American Music Awards. Her Dad introduced her. Today happens to be Miley’s 16th birthday as well.

Anyhoo, Miley did great. It started off with paparazzis chaisng a girl. I guess we could assume it’s “Miley”. At one point Miley took her jacket off :). I loved the billboard she had in the back, then the white body suit clad dancers with words written all over them.

I must say though that not all blogs are bad Miley :)

Is Miley Cyrus The Next Britney Or Lindsay?

October 29, 2008 by Dexie

Miley-Cyrus-16th-birthday-pictures-nc

While Miley Cyrus was in Germany to promote her “Breakout” album, she was asked how she feels about the comparison of her between Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. Here’s what she had to say :

“Um, I think they are both really talented and, I don’t know about around here, but at the Video Music Awards and everything, Britney Spears has been taking all the awards home and has really had quite a comeback. So, I just think that they are super successful and hopefully when I am compared to them, it’s them [...] career-wise because they have all been super successful and had amazing careers and they are both really talented.” (SOURCE)

The intro for Miley’s comment intimated that Miley practiced those lines wishing for something “better”.

First of all, I consider that question a bait question. For a 15 yr old, I think that’s as candid and articulate she could get. Seriously, what did you expect her to say? Unless of course you want her to say something crappy and then get her back in the media which was the intention all along.
