Why Did Jessica Simpson Ditch Pop Music For Country?

June 23, 2008 by Dexie

Jessica Simpson is explaining here reasons (to anyone who’d listen) why she ditched Pop Music for Country. According to ex-Mrs. Lachey, she feels right at home with Country Music. With the latter’s genre, she feels she’s is showcasing the talent that God gave her unlike in the Pop World where she didn’t have a chance to stand on her own 2 feet and feel comfortable with what God gave her. Watch her video interview below :

That’s good and all, but I don’t think it’s necessary to diss the genre of music that has provided Jessica Simpson her lavish lifestyle through the years. Transition and everything, but let’s not forget the fact that it was Pop Music that got her started and made her famous. Reality show, divorce, movies and clothing line came after/while she was a Pop Star.

But who could blame Jessica? She was competing with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera during her run as a Pop Star. Now let’s hope Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, etc would welcome her with open arms.

Pop Music Scene wishes Jessica Simpson all the best. :)

American Idol and Country Music Superstar Carrie Underwood broke down in the middle of her ‘Don’t Forget to Remember Me‘ song in Atlanta, Georgia. Some of the audience said, Carrie was visibly crying in some of the lines but went on a full blown breakdown once it got to the second chorus :

“Hey Momma … tell Me-maw that I miss her
Yeah, I should give her a call
And make sure you tell Daddy that I’m still his little girl.”

Awww, I would cry to if I have to sing those lyrics. Wouldn’t you? I mean, here’s Carrie Underwood, an all American girl from a small town in OK(?) who auditioned for the biggest singing competition show on TV, wins, then all of a sudden she’s selling records, making money, moving out of her comfort zone, plethora of paparazzis in front of her and her life has become a tabloid fodder. Anyone would be stressed out with all of those things combined too.

But don’t worry coz after that emotional release, Carrie Underwood did what she does best and that’s to entertain her fans and give them the reason why they came to see her show. A true professional and a real American Idol :)
