Britney Spears “Radar” – New Music Video
July 2, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
In 2007, Britney Spears released the song “Radar” as a single on her album “Blackout.” However, she decided to also include it on her newest album, “Circus”, which appears as a bonus track. This is the fourth single to be released off of the “Circus” album, and the music video for the song has been leaked on the internet.
The music video was filmed at the Bacara Resort & Spa, north of Santa Barbara, California on May 27th and 28th. It was directed by Dave Meyers who actually worked on her music video for her single “Boys”, “Outrageous” and “Lucky”. I’ve seen a lot of people criticizing this music video because they find it boring. I’ve got to admit I was expecting a little bit more from this music video, simply because Britney tends to have pretty interesting videos, but this lacks excitement, in my opinion. That being said, i think the tune is catchy and I like it. Her hitting the high notes is a bit of a struggle, but it’ okay. What do you guys think?

Britney Spears Goes Brunette – Love It or Leave it?
June 30, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Britney Spears flaunting a chocolate brown ‘do. Usually this pop princess goes blonde, however, I guess she decided to switch it up recently! She was spotted Sunday shopping with boyfriend and manager, Jason Trawick sporting the new look. I prefer her blonde look over the brunette, mostly because it‘s a more light-hearted look, but I think that this brown gives her a more mature, down-to-earth look. So, with that being said, which do you prefer? Are you liking the brown on Britney? Take a look below!

Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Madonna React to Death of Michael Jackson
June 26, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
The news that Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, passed away yesterday at the age of 50, has hit people in the music industry pretty hard. Most recently, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Madonna have expressed how painful it is for them to know that Michael Jackson is gone.
Madonna said of Jackson, "I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."
Timberlake, who is obviously extremely influenced by Michael, said, "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."
Spears was shocked by the news as well, "I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!"
Madonna is right when she says that his music will live on for ever, because it will. I am so sad for his family right now. I can’t imagine how they must be feeling.

Britney Spears Talks World Tour, Says “I’m Not Sad Anymore”
June 18, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
Thankfully, with the release of her 2008 album Circus, Britney Spears says that she’s been able to get back on track and prove people wrong about her. With the mental breakdown that she appeared to have suffered for a little while, Britney wanted to prove that she has more in her and that she won’t be going away anytime
soon.
She says, “A lot of people thought I wouldn’t make it. People thought I was finished, didn’t they? I guess for a while last year it looked that way. Nothing I can do about the past. But I’m hoping to prove them wrong now. And I have really put everything I have into this new show.”
Most importantly, she says that she’s in a really good place right now, “I’m not sad any more. I was just so sad for such a long time, but not any more. And you know what? That feels really, really good. I’m happy. Truly. I feel like the girl who has it all. I have my family, my boys, my friends, my fans, this show.”
That is fantastic to hear! I’m glad she seems to be focusing on getting better and that she’s bringing her life back together. I’m a Britney Spears fan. She’s a exactly what a performer should be like, but when that dark time in her life started, I was devastated. When she released her singles “Womanizer” and “Circus” I think everyone was relieved that she was finally starting to get back to being her old self. I wish her luck and I’m thrilled to hear she’s doing well!

Skin Care Tips for When You’re Traveling
June 9, 2009 by Lauren Croteau
It’s summer time and celebrities like Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani have embarked on their summer tours. Ever wonder how they’re able to keep their skin looking fresh and clean while they’re on the road?
You can keep yourself looking good while you’re away as well!
Traveling doesn’t have to be scary. If you’re worried about being able to take care of your skin on the road, there are a some things you can do to make sure you stay looking great. Here are a few tips you can use to make traveling a little easier on your skin when you’re not in the convenience of your home:
- Drink water: Making sure you stay hydrated is one of the most important things you could do for your skin. It carries out impurities from your body, clearing out your pores in the process. A recommended amount of water per day would be about 8-10 glasses, so make sure you pack enough water!
- Stay Organized: I don’t know about you, but nothing’s worse about a trip than finding out that you are so unprepared. In advance, make sure you have any products that you might be needing while you’re away. Staying organized is key. You’ll need to keep track of everything so make sure you’ve put aside a few special bags for your skin care products and makes sure you’ll readily have access to them. That way, you won’t be discouraged from searching through your big suitcase to find what you need.
- Choose Products That Suit You: It’s important to know what kind of skin you have before packing any of your products and hitting the road. Make sure you’ve got exactly what you need. For example, if you have sensitive skin, go with products that are gentle on the skin. A few days before your trip, you’ll want to test out the products to make sure they’re safe and that you don’t have any type of allergic reaction to them. No one wants their trip tainted by an awful breakout!
- Don’t Touch Your Face: Keep your fingers away from your face while you’re traveling. Touching your skin can actually send bacteria deeper into your pores, which can cause acne. Plus, when you’re in contact with a bunch of people, their germs and bacteria can be transported to you so it’s better if you refrain from spreading those germs to your face.
- Clean Your Glasses or Sunglasses: Whether you’re wearing a pair of shades or glasses, it’s important to clean them regularly. Doing so will remove the oil from your face and the specs, allowing your skin to breathe better, reducing your chances of getting pimples.
- Eat Healthy: Eating vegetables (especially ones with fiber) can help keep up the appearance of healthy looking skin. When you can, make sure to sneak in as many healthy foods as you can such as carrots and apples while you’re on the road.
- Remove Makeup Before Going to Bed: The less amount of time you have makeup on, the better. As soon as you get to your hotel (or wherever you are) it’s best if you remove it. Makeup can clog your pores. Your skin will thank you as soon as you allow it to breathe!
- Be Careful in the Sun: It’s super important that you’re not over-doing it with your sun intake. If you’re planning to be outside for a while, make sure you’ve packed some sunblock and moisturizers. The sun can really drain your skin of it’s moisture, which it needs to stay healthy and vibrant.

Britney Spears Staples Center Videos
Britney Spears was in Staples Center on April 16 to kick off 3 of her shows there. Here are videos of Britney Spears performing ‘Circus", "If You Seek Amy", "Womanizer", and "Baby One More Time".
Stevie Nicks Disses Britney Spears
Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac had a few words about artists like Britney Spears and the "rock star" moniker. Apparently, just because Britney covered classic rock songs namely “I Love Rock N’ Roll” by Joan Jestt and The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction” Britney is not a "rock star". Ummm, you think? Stevie Nicks has a problem with stars who gain fame and notoriety without having to join a band, spend 5 hours everyday practicing then playing gigs on Fridays and weekends.
“You have to pay your dues to be a real rock star,” she told Extra on Friday. “It’s different in that Britney did not join a band when she was 18 and practice every day for five hours Monday through Friday and then play gigs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.” (Source)
No one is arguing whether Britney Spears is a "rock star" or not. She’s a Pop Star who covered rock songs. I don’t mean to disrespect Stevie Nicks but for crying out loud, she’s how old? What the heck is she doing picking on girls half her age? Britney Spears is not taking anything away from Stevie Nicks and all her hard work that made her Stevie Nicks. She’s an icon, just leave it at that. Why get defensive that there are other artists around that’s different from her according to her own standards?
Having said that, Britney has worked for her fame as hard as anybody else. She may not have spent the hours that Stevie Nicks claimed she had, but Britney has been working since she was a little girl all the way up to her Mickey Mouse Club Days. Just because Stevie Nicks doesn’t consider it "work" that doesn’t mean it’s not.
I could understand this sentiment coming from an upcoming young Pop Star who is trying real hard to break into the mainstream but hasn’t seen the end of the tunnel yet. I didn’t expect it from a 60 yr old music icon. I just find it immature and petty.

Video : If You Seek Amy by Britney Spears
Before the Britney Spears selfish teams of corporation take it down, here’s the video for "If You Seek Amy".
Watching music videos these days is like chasing millions and millions of dollars dream in this economy. The video channels on TV whose main purpose was to play music videos have turned into crappy reality show TV. So we all turn to YouTube or other video places online but of course the management takes it down because they want money out of their products. It’s understandable but geez if we have to work so hard just to watch a damn video of Britney Spears and other artists we might as well not have a life at all.
Having aired out my frustrations, How do you like Britney’s new video? I think it’s ok. Nothing too extravagant yet still fun to watch. I agree with one entertainment reporter who called it, "vintage Britney sound, vintage Britney body, vintage controversial Britney song and video". Yup, I couldn’t agree more. To the people who are trying to play dumb and innocent by asking if Britney is sending a subliminal message through this video, song title, and lyrics, all I could say is, WHERE THE IF YOU SEEK AMY HAVE YOU BEEN?

March 4, 2009 by Dexie
Here are a few pictures of Britney Spears kicking off her Circus Tour in New Orleans. Click the images for larger versions then hit your browser’s "Back" button to come back to this post for the other pictures.
Judging from the pictures, you could tell that Britney really is the ring leader of her Circus tour. The set, costumes, and I’m guessing the performances are very elaborate and choreographed to a T. I wish I could see at least one. Find out where Britney is going next. Enjoy the pictures.

Britney Spears Is The New Candie’s Girl
March 2, 2009 by Dexie
I was watching Access Hollywood today and the beginning said Britney Spears has an exclusive announcement. I was glued on TV and watched the few celebrity topics until Britney came back on wearing a white tank top and fashion necklaces, dancing around during a photoshoot. With toned legs and fit body, Britney announced that she is the new girl for Candie’s campaign. Wooohoooo.
Britney Spears Candie’s ads will appear only at Kohl’s in various campaigns through print, television and online. Candie’s and Kohl’s are associate sponsors of Britney Spears’ Circus tour which by the way starts tomorrow in New Orleans. Check out this tour list to see if she’s coming near your town.
Britney looks great, doesn’t she? I’m itching to check out the Kohl’s store near me, you?
