BritneySpears.com got a major makeover just in time for Britney’s comeback. Britney was also in the Entertainment Tonight program showing Mark Steines the new features of the website. Britney wants her official website to be the source for news instead of the tabloids. A message posted on October 15th said BritneySpears.com will take us to a place where no paparazzi lens could get to. Pictures, videos, and interviews straight from Britney Spears herself.

From perusing the website myself, I see that there’s a blog included now. And lots of fans interactive features like the “Womanizer” dance off. You can also befriend the website in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

I think the website looks very informative, load time is relatively fast and it’s nice to see it updated. The Britney team is making it possible for Britney’s fans to get the info straight from Britney herself. Good Job all around.

Anyhooo, Britney said the video for “Womanizer” is cool. The concept is about a guy who keeps on cheating on girls. She likes how it’s very empowering to girls and sure to be a girl’s anthem song. Yay. I can’t wait to see the finished product.

So everyone and their Presses are campaigning for their artists to be nominated for 2008 VMA. One that really made me laugh was Britney Spears Myspace bulletin asking fans to rack as many nominations for the Pop Star.

Find out why I’m not going to help Britney after the fold…

Look, I love the chick. Yes I do, as sick as that sounds, I’m a loyal fan. But I’m not voting for her. Why? Because she doesn’t have videos playing on MTV (if by any chance they’re actually playing videos). Not that I’ve seen anyway. Out of the 12 tracks from her Blackout album, she made 3 videos, thus far. They’re all mediocre. The 3rd one, I can’t even remember what song (Break The Ice?), was premiered online. I never caught it on MTV maybe because I’m sick of MTV having reality shows up the ying yang. I hardly watch that damn channel anymore. Except lately with FN’MTV. Granted it’s totally not Britney’s fault that her videos aren’t on all day, she still doesn’t deserve nominations. Unlike other Pop Music fans, I can actually set aside my crazy fan tendencies and consider the credibility of an artist for such accolades.

C’mon people. If you’re going to vote for a Best Female Video, vote for Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey or Katy Perry. Don’t just vote because you’re loyally trying to support an artist. That’s fine and dandy but think of the work they’ve done and decide at that particular time whether they actually deserve a nomination or the award for that matter. Like I said,  I ♥ Britney, but she doesn’t deserve a nomination/award this year. Britney herself probably knows that too. Some of her fans just can’t seem to comprehend that.

All I’m hoping is for Britney to pull herself together to hopefully perform during the award ceremony. I want her in that stage on September, dancing, lip synching and finally make her much awaited “comeback”. That’s all I ask.

BTW, the last I heard she was supposed to go to Europe to shoot the RADAR video but haven’t heard anything new about it so we’ll all just have to wait..:)

Rumor is, Britney owes Jive Records from the “poor” sales of Blackout that they need to get the new one out ASAP. Which doesn’t really makes sense. Once again, an album put together faster than you can say “failure”. Fans are smarter these days. They won’t buy albums that sounds just like the previous one. Hmmm, maybe this is Jive’s way to blame everything on Britney, then sue her ass for her millions to get money then kicks her out to the curb. Hey, it has happened with other artists before.

The new album doesn’t sound any different as Blackout as Fox reports so who knows. Albeit Blackout is Britney’s best ever in my opinion, things happen. Britney is just going to have to make sure there are no breakdowns, hurling at paparazzis and trips to the rehab and court before and after the album is out. *cross my fingers*

You’ve heard that Britney and Madonna are back together again right? Just in case you haven’t, Britney has been shooting some videos, movie format, that will be played during Madonna’s ‘Sticky and Sweet’ Tour. No live appearance from Britney during concert (nothing reported yet anyway) but she’ll definitely be lending her Pop Princess stardom with her idol who happens to be the Pop Queen.

Anyway, the scene that Britney shot yesterday was the elevator scene. Wearing a hoodie, Britney enters the elevator. As it goes up, Britney shows some kind of claustraphobia or whatever, coz she starts pacing. Then she starts getting mad, kicking and starts ripping her hoodie off. And then… she looks into the camera and says, “It’s Britney, Bitch!!!” The famous line from her 1st single, ‘Gimme More’ off of the Blackout album.

Sound exciting huh? Madonna’s Tour is going to be off the hook . It kicks off in East Rutherfood New Jersey on October 4th.

Britney Spears‘ manager Larry Rudolph informed Access Hollywood that the Pop Princess just taped a video that will be used during Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet World Tour. Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg said, indeed Britney and Madonna shot some footages yesterday for Madonna’s Tour.

Woohoooo!! But don’t hold your breath though about Madonna and Britney doing a sequel of their infamous MTV kiss. Britney is not expected to make a live appearance on Madonna’s Tour. That’s ok. I’m just glad they’re “back” together again.

Britney Spears, as much as her appearance on ‘How I Met Your Mother” was turned into such hoopla, especially when her name was among the 41 possible nominees for the Emmys, is not going home with the statue. Not even in the vicinity of one.

She was left out of the nominations. Oh well. Britney Spears can concentrate on her upcoming album that she’s working on with Rodney Jerkins and being a Mother to her boys. Who cares about an Emmy anyway? .

Radar’s theme will be about a group of friends and Britney trying to find a guy all around London. Like I suspected this morning, Britney first saw the guy at a club. Anyhooo, Brit-Brit and company will search for the guy and every time they think they have him, it’s actually someone else. Ohhh, sounds like a cat and mouse kind of courtship huh? I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Furthermore, Britney will also be a co-director of the Radar video. She wants to be in control as much as possible. She wants to make sure her video is exactly how she envisioned it. Britney will leave for Europe next week.

In other Britney news, Access Hollywood reported that Britney made a cameo in The Pussycat Dolls ‘When I Grow Up’ video. Kewl Beans. Good things to look forward too huh?
