Sony Is Releasing "Mariah Carey : The Ballads" On January 2009

Sony Entertainment is releasing a compilation album called “Mariah Carey : The Ballads” on January 20th 2009. While Mariah Carey has severed her ties with Sony, the latter still own rights to the previous works of Mariah Carey. She will probably get royalty fees from the sales (I’m assuming of course), but the million dollar question is, will Mariah celebrate or promote this release? I think she should. All the songs included in the “Mariah Carey : The Ballads” are still her songs and she wrote some of them and they were hits because of Mariah Carey’s touch. But we’ll see.
