Song Of The Day : The Sweet Escape By Gwen Stefani ft. Akon

I haven’t done a Song Of The Day in a while huh? Nothing was really catching my sound radar for weeks so I kinda neglected it a bit. I like to feature songs that has actually interested me in a particular day instead of just doing a random search on YouTube. Coz that’s how music is to me. Whatever genre they belong to, I must feel something about it, yah know. Today, The Sweet Escape came to me while looking at picture of Gwen Stefani and her lovely family. The lyrics to the song might not completely point it out but the title is apropos to all the fame that Gwen has gotten ever since No Doubt. She and Gavin have been married for a long time now, 1 son, and another baby on the way. I bet being with her family is Gwen’s “sweet escape” away from all the glitz, glamour and paparazzi that comes with being famous.

PLUS, I must add that when I first saw the video of this song on MTV, I was relieved. Why? I was afraid Gwen was going to be yodeling throughout her entire album. Whewwww!
