Don’t miss British Pop Star Leona Lewis  performing with  Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page  OR at the 2008 Olympics Closing Ceremony tonight. It’s actually happening in Beijing China right now, as we type this but it won’t be shown here in the US on primetime.

Kudos to Leona Lewis in landing this gig. Sure the torch is going to be relegated to London since that’s where the next Summer Olympics will be but Leona is such a new artist to actually even be on the radar. You’d think anyway. But she’s so brilliant that who else could they have chosen to represent their country? Amy Winehouse probably didn’t even make the list heh. Thank God!

  1. George says:

What went wrong with the sound during Leona´s and Jimmy´s performance?? Did anyone else notice this? It sounded as if the microphones weren´t working.

  2. Rick Hall says:

Even though the rhythym was drawn out, Jimmy’s lead captured the imagination! Fuck’n Beautiful!

  3. DEXIE says:

George, with a huge event like that it’s a moot point to nitpick the sounds. Some was bound to go wrong.

I was actually more disturbed by how Leona kept giving Jimmy sexy looks. Like, girl, he’s old enough to be your grandfather. It was weird.

  4. Jack says:

How dare that cunt Leona stood with Jimmy the great! Jimmy rocks! Zep owns all!

  5. DEXIE says:

oh c’mon Jack. it’s not Leona’s fault that everyone thinks she’s talented to stand right next to Jimmy. what did you expect her to say when asked to do it?
