Leona Lewis Turns Down Obama Dinner Invitation to Record New Album

According to Britain’s The Mirror, UK singing sensation, Leona Lewis turned down a dinner invitation from President Barack Obama due to her tight schedule. The talented songstress is working hard on the follow-up to her album Spirit, which was the 6th most selling album in the world in 2008.

A source tells The Mirror, “Leona was thrilled to be invited to dinner by Obama. She really wanted to meet him and his wife Michelle, who is a big fan and has her ‘Spirit’ album. But it was really unfortunate that it clashed with her tight schedule to get her second album done,” an informant revealed to Britain’s The Mirror on Saturday.

There was apparently absolutely no way she could pass up the recording opportunity. “Leona has had studio sessions in Los Angeles booked for months and has been working day and night getting things perfect. So there was no way she could make the trip to the White House.”

Well, I guess you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. Hopefully, she’ll be able to reschedule the dinner with the Obamas for another time. This better be one great album!

Leona Lewis is very excited about this video and being able to work with Chace. She was all praises for him. Leona wrote in her blog that not only is he in one of her (MY) favorite show Gossip Girl, he’s also the one of the nicest people she’s ever met and is super talented.

"I Will Be" video will be out next week so watch out for that. I’ll try my best to post the video here at Pop Music Scene if it’s available. Also, watch out for Leona Lewis Spirit The Deluxe Edition coming out on February 3rd. Track List can be found right here.

Pink Talks Politics, Yup Even Sarah Palin

Pink is never one to shy away from expressing her opinions on anything. Not even politics. While some people think celebs in general shouldn’t discuss politics, I disagree. Celebs, may they be actors or in the music biz have every right to to talk about Politics. Whether you agree with their opinions or not, it’s their right as citizens and tax payers. So I say bring it on.

As for Pink, well, she’s got a lot to say. She’s talking about her support for PETA, her ex-hubby’s cameo on her ‘So What’ video and yes, Sarah Palin. Trust me, she’s got a lot to say on the latter.

Oooops I mean Bruce Springsteen is endorsing Presidential candidate Barrack Obama. He believes Obama will fix whatever mess the Bush Administration has made for the past 8 years.
