Her song, “Waking Up In Vegas” was a hit, but Katy Perry said it was all inspired by some fun experiences she had in Las Vegas herself. Apparently, Katy had a wedding in Vegas – a fake one of course.

Katy tells Live magazine, “I was 21 at the time. My boyfriend [at the time] and I were on a crazy weekend in Vegas and, on a whim, we decided it would be a fun idea to pretend to get married just to freak out friends and family.”

Their parents fell for it! How did Katy and her boy toy pull it off? ‘We bought a wedding dress and a suit at a thrift store, picked up a wedding cake and went into the Little White Wedding Chapel to explain to the priest what we wanted.”

She continues, “He seemed fine about it and even made up a fake wedding certificate… We sent the photos off to everyone we knew and they all completely freaked out.”

She used that experience to further her career, putting forth another fabulous hit song. Katy also recently spoke about how she used to long for fame, fortune…and a nice rack.

Katy admits, “All I wanted out of life was a hit record and a great pair of boobs. I woke up one morning and I had both. I had finally arrived.’

She also says she loves her body because she can be so versatile with whatever she wants to wear. She says, “One a Monday I could be a Betty Boop figure. "On a Tuesday I’ll be Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. On a Wednesday I could be wearing S&M rubber.

Of the paparazzi following her around, “Most of the time I welcome attention but there are days when I need to keep a healthy distance from it. When I pop down the grocery store to buy some milk I leave all my glittery costumes at home.”

For the record, Katy is a 32 DD cup size. It’s great that she seems so happy and content with how her life has turned out, but if I hear her talk about her boobs one more time…

Editor in Chief for the magazine, Stephen Gan said of Gaga, "When the Marc Jacobs pink hooded coat and glasses came down the runway, I knew there was only one person I wanted to see in it: Lady Gaga. Growing up as a kid obsessed with new wave, I would cut up paper sunglasses and put them on to celebs’ faces on magazine covers. These plastic peel on and peel off glasses come in pink and blue and are actually based on the Marc Jacobs ones that came down the runway!"

This isn’t the first time that Gaga is posing for V. In July, she posed for some risqué pics as well. Here’s her cover for the mag:

Hit maker, Lady Gaga is known for saying whatever the heck she feels like saying, and most recently she gave an interview with Out magazine in which she says she laid down the law with Kanye West. The singer is going on tour with West and says that she informed him that every thing about her part of the show is going to be “gay” because it is the gay community which got her to where she is now.

She tells the magazine, “When I started in the mainstream it was the gays that lifted me up. I committed myself to them and they committed themselves to me, and because of the gay community I’m where I am today.”

She repeats what she told Kanye, “I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.”

She continues, “I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream. It’s not an underground tool for me. It’s my whole life. So I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay.”

Gaga is also said to be posing nude on the cover of the September issue of Out magazine. The photographer for the shoot is Ellen von Unwerth’s. Apparently, Gaga is supposed to be portrayed as "a kind of Frankenstein’s bride who gets attacked by a sexy vampire and becomes one herself.”

So many celebrities now seem unappreciative about where they got their start and they bite the hand that feeds, but it seems Gaga remains thankful to the people who got her career moving, so good for her!¸

In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Jesse McCartney had some interesting things to say. The singer spoke a bit about pop band, the Jonas Brothers and their purity rings as well as charities, the Food Network and finding the right girl for him.

On the Jonas Brothers, Jesse says, “I never wore a promise ring like them. It’s a big step for them to be open about their virginity. I’ve seen them take a lot of heat. But I respect them, if that’s what they want to do. It’s cool.”

On charity work, “She’s [my mom] a cool chick… [I] grew up in a Christian household. We went to church every Sunday. I do think it’s my duty to give back. That’s why I’m involved with St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Bono is my inspiration not only as a rock star but as a humanitarian. We aren’t just put on this earth to sell records. Maybe it’s because of my upbringing, but I do consider myself a moral guy.”

On what he likes to watch on television, “All I watch is the Food Network. I took a cheese making class a few weeks ago, and I told my family and friends to only get me kitchen stuff on my birthday. I’m into every kind of cookbook and anything by Anthony Bourdain. I’d love to own a restaurant if I could find the right chef.”

When asked about what he’s looking for in a dream girl he says, : “She’ll have to be someone who likes to eat my cooking. Or, at least, she’ll have to pretend.”

Well, that was a fun interview! Who new Jesse was interested into cooking?! Sounds like he’ll make a good husband for a lucky girl who won’t have to worry about dinner every night!

Likely the most eye-catching would be the S&M inspired leather thing that’s revealing almost all of her breast. Well, as exciting as it is, it’s not all that surprising from Gaga. I mean, we practically see these kinds of things on a regular basis when she gets on stage. With pictures like this and this going around, I have a hard time being shocked . If you’re interested, here is a little bit of footage from the photo shoot:

One of the most popular bands right now, the Jonas Brothers, covered Rolling Stone magazine for the second time. The photo shoot was shot in Culver City at Smashbox Studios on May 6th. I’ve got to say Nick (right) is looking good, but what is up with Kevin (left)? It looks like there’s something wrong with him.

Anyways, Joe Jonas spoke about how he looks up to Mick Jagger and Bono, from U2, for inspiration on how to perform on stage. He said it was hard to get the grasp of it at first and that he had a hard time making it look cool.

He says, "I was preoccupied with trying to play instruments so much, because we wanted people to know that we were a real band. [My brothers] can just pick up an instrument and play. But, over time, I realized, look at Mick Jagger, look at Bono: They play instruments here and there but it’s their thing to run around onstage. For a while, I was still trying to figure that out: ‘How do you make it look cool?’ I know it sounds so cliché to say: ‘Be yourself’, but it’s true."

Controversial pop songstress, Katy Perry is gracing the cover of the July 2009 issue for Seventeen magazine! She’s looking good, and I’m loving that shade of lipstick on her. In her interview with seventeen magazine, she talks about not “hooking up” with random people, her fashion sense and once faking her pregnancy. Sounds juicy!
She tells the magazine, "I never hook up. If I really like a person, then I’ll go on a date. But you’ll never catch me just randomly making out with someone. I’m not casual at all. I’ve always been into making a connection with someone. That’s what [...]
Post from: Pop Music Scene

She’s looking good, and I’m loving that shade of lipstick on her. In her interview with seventeen magazine, she talks about not “hooking up” with random people, her fashion sense and once faking her pregnancy. Sounds juicy!

She tells the magazine, "I never hook up. If I really like a person, then I’ll go on a date. But you’ll never catch me just randomly making out with someone. I’m not casual at all. I’ve always been into making a connection with someone. That’s what it’s all about for me. Besides, it’s sexier to be mysterious and not give it away."

On finding the right guy and falling in love, Katy , who is dating Travis McCoy, reveals, "I fall in love every time. I don’t really fall in love a lot, but when I do, I fall hard. I’ve had about four boyfriends, and I fell in love with all of them – each of them served a purpose."

Good to know she has some morals and that she has some self respect! Sounds like it’s going to be a great interview. I’d love to know what in the world would possess her to fake being pregnant. If you’re interested at all in it, you should be able to find it in stores right now. Will you check it out?

Pop goddess, Madonna was recently ranked #3 by Forbes magazine’s list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities! No doubt, she is super powerful. There is a reason why she’s been around so long! She’s accomplished so much!

Here’s what Forbes had to say about her:
The queen of pop’s Hard Candy album tour became the top-grossing international tour of 2008, bringing in $280 million on 58 concerts in 17 countries. Keeping the 50-year old star’s name in the papers: a reported love affair with allegedly juiced baseball slugger Alex Rodriquez, the end of her eight-year marriage to director Guy Ritchie, and [...]
Post from: Pop Music Scene

Rolling Stone released their 2008 Top 100 Singles and not everyone is happy. You can’t blame them though because the list just does not make sense. No disrespect to the artists included on the list but there are far better and popular singles that came out this year that should’ve been on the list.
Here are the Pop Songs that made it :

#20 I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry
#25 Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis
#27 Shut Up and Let Me Go by The Ting Tings

I like Katy Perry. I used to like her a lot but not so much these days. I still think she’s cool but I think she’s trying too hard to be cool. There’s a distinction between being cool, like I could talk to you and have a very nice meaningful yet funny conversation and just being tacky altogether. Everybody swears, picks their nose, and farts. That doesn’t make Katy Perry or anyone else for that matter “THE” cool or sassy girl. I wish she’d bring it down a notch because the more she tries to let people know how “cool” she is, the more she becomes so desperate. Know what I mean?
