Owl City’s “Fireflies” – Music Video

Today, I wanted to feature the music video for Owl City’s single “Fireflies.” The song is off of their album, Ocean Eyes. Though the song debuted at #97 on the Billboard Hot 100, it soon rose to the top, peaking at #1, where it currently is on the chart.

The next single to be released off of the album will be “Vanilla Twilight.” The song actually debuted at #95 on the billboard Hot 100, despite the fact that it hasn’t even been released yet.

Everything about this song is just so great. Listening to it just makes you feel happy! The music video for it is just as sweet. Check it out below and let me know what you think!

Britney Spears Premieres Her “3” Music Video!

The music video for Britney Spears’ song “3” has been released! The song is off of Britney’s latest greatest hits CD, The Singles Collection, which will be released on November 24th.

You’ll be able to buy either the standard version of the album or the box set, which will obviously have a lot of great Britney tracks. What better way to celebrate her ten years in the industry? This single was produced by Max Martin who worked with her on her hit single “…Baby One More Time.”

What do you guys think of the song and video? I’m actually not loving the video or the song. I think it’s just okay. But considering this is just for her compilation CD, it’s not so bad.

Flashback: No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” Music Video

Isn’t it nice to step back in time every once and a while? Today, our pop music flashback is No Doubt’s catchy tune, “Don’t Speak.” The song was released in 1996 (it doesn’t even feel like it was 13 years ago!) off of their 1995 album, Tragic Kingdom, which was their second album.

This single is actually their most successful international track and stayed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay for sixteen weeks. During the 1998 Grammy Awards, No Doubt was nominated for the Song of the Year award and the Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.

The music video won for Best Group Video and was nominated for the Video of the Year at the 1997 Video Music Awards. The song is still good even after 13 years! Are you guys fans?

Leona Lewis “Happy” Music Video

Leona Lewis has premiered the music video for her single “Happy”, which is the first single off of her second studio album, Echo. The music video is about her falling in love with another man, despite the fact that he is marrying another woman. instead of wallowing in self-pity, Leona decides to feel happy for both of them, whence the title.

The song was written by OneRepublic’s frontman, Ryan Tedder and the album will be released on November 17th. It’s been a crazy past week for Leona after some major drama that went down in Germany. While at a book signing, a man identified as Peter Kowalczyk came up to her and punched her for no apparent reason. Truly awful and traumatizing. But I’m sure she’s been able to try to push it past her as she releases this music video.

She was really excited about this single, so I’m sure she’s glad to have it shared with the world. i love the message of it and the music video is touching as well.

Justin Bieber “One Less Lonely Girl” Music Video

Canadian singer, Justin Bieber has released the music video for his second single “One Less Lonely Girl”, which is off of his debut solo album My World. The 15-year-old singer filmed the music video in Nashville with the video’s producer, Roman White (he worked with Taylor Swift for her music video for ‘You Belong With Me’). He premiered the video on PerezHilton.com and it’s growing in popularity!

The song was downloaded 113,000 times in it’s debut week, only surpassing Britney Spears’s single “3”as the highest debut of the week. It’s also peeked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Hopefully, it’s only up from there for Justin!

I can’t help but like his voice! It’s smooth and the song is so sweet and simple! The video is just as cute and basic. Check it out below!

Pink: “I Don’t Believe You” Music Video

Pink dresses in white for her new music video for her single “I Don’t Believe You”, where she is seen in a wedding dress, waiting for her wedding reception, and her groom nowhere in sight. This song is off of her fifth album Funhouse and is written by the talented Max Martin.

Pink has said of the emotional track, "The first thing that comes to my mind with ‘I Don’t Believe You’ is me standing in the vocal booth listening … Actually in the control room listening to this song, tears running down my face, just like ‘f—, really?’ It’s the vulnerable weak side of me that I don’t let out very often. And it’s [sighs], yeah it’s that song. And I love it, I love it. I just love it, it’s very near and dear to me."

The singer has also said that this is her favorite track off of the album and that it’s all about pleading for reconciliation. I’m sure it probably hits close to home for Pink, who separated from her ex-husband Carey Hart in 2008 and has since gotten back together with him.

The song is definitely emotional and I like that she chose to go black and white with the music video. Check it out below.

John Mayer: “Who Says?” – Music Video

Smooth singer, John Mayer has just recently released the music video for his single, “Who Says?” off of his fourth studio album, Battle Studies. This is his first released single since his 2007 track “Say” was released.

The song is now available for download on iTunes, so if you like the song, head on over. John is supposed to be releasing the album on November 17th. On what he thinks makes this album different from his Continuum album is that it has "observations and a little bit of advice on relationships… kind of like a heartbreak handbook".

What do you guys think of the song and music video? I found the video interesting, and the song was different sounding for him. On his Twitter account, he described the song as being best between “8pm-3am on Friday and Saturday nights.”

New Music Video: Katherine McPhee – “I Had It All”

American Idol runner-up, Katherine McPhee has just released the music video for her single “I Had It All” and is sporting a whole new look. She’s chopped off her long, brunette waves and has gone platinum blonde. A way different, bolder look for her.

Unfortunately, I don’t think the look works for her. I thought Kat was hot the way she was before, but this just makes her look like a poser who’s desperate for attention. Anyways, the song isn’t all that exciting and the music video is blah.

The song is off of her album, Unbroken, which will be released on January 5th, 2010. Check out the music video below!

Leighton Meester “Somebody To Love” – New Audio!

Trying to branch out from her role on Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester has come out with her new single called “Somebody To Love.” The song features Robin Thicke and comes after her collaboration with Cobra Starship called “Good Girls Go Bad” which has been getting a good amount of airplay.

The song is okay. She doesn’t feature really much vocal talent, but the song is catchy enough to possibly do well. Let me know what you guys think of the track! Listen to “Somebody To Love” below.

New Music Video: “Release Me” by Agnes

Swedish singer, Agnes rose to fame in 2005 after she became the winner of Swedish Idol. She has become one of Sweden’s most successful singers and has now begun to get recognized internationally. She has sold over 180,000 albums in Sweden and her first international single, “Release Me” has sold about 700,000 copies world wide already. The single is off of her third album, Dance Love Pop.

The song unpredictably becomes a fun dance tune, which is always sure to do well. The song is pretty catchy, so be prepared to have the song stuck in your head all day. Hopefully, she’s able to find a real place for herself internationally! Check out the music video for the song below.
