Their manager, Simon Fuller broke the news saying, "They stand for so much in British music history and I can’t think of a better time for them to get back together for another performance."

He added, "The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever. They will not want to be performing hits like Wannabe in their 40s, but it’s amazing how often people talk about another reunion. And I think if they do it, it’s going to be in 2012."

What do you guys think about this? I’m really not sure how I feel. I mean, they really have been a big part of British music, and they have a great fan base, but performing at the Olympics? I’m just not quite on board for that.

An insider says, "This time next year at least four of the five girls will be back on stage doing the Spice material again.” 

The girls will be meeting some time in the  very near future, "Both the Mels and Geri are the driving force behind making it happen.  They have agreed to meet up again next week and thrash out their plans for the future of the Spice empire.

Emma Bunton, a.k.a Baby Spice, has been somewhat reluctant, "Emma is being cautious but the minute she’s with the girls they’ll talk her round. When Geri left the first time, she was arguably the band’s biggest star. If they coped without her, they are confident they can make it work without Posh."

If think that the girls should give it a rest now. I mean, another reunion? They have kids and families to worry about rather than trying to relive the glory days.

So, what do you guys think? Can they make it work without Posh Spice?  But here’s an even bigger question: should the Spice Girls even be getting back together in the first place? Let me know in the poll and/or in the comments.

One of the Dolls, Melody Thornton, broke the news to MTV News, saying, "Right now the Pussycat Dolls are on a break. It’s actually a much-needed break.  It’s like when you’re with your sisters for 24 hours a day and you need to take your own shower."

However, if you’re a big fan, don’t worry because the girls will supposedly reunite. “Yeah, we’re taking a break. No, [we're not broken up] … everybody keeps saying that, but it’s like, let me see who took a break? Dave Chappelle. Remember when Dave Chappelle took that break? OK, maybe Dave Chappelle’s a bad example. What about, like, Hootie and the Blowfish?"

Melody went on to say, "Well, I always tell people that I’ve been working since the beginning of Pussycat Dolls and making records and always staying true to my passion, which is music, ’cause I love it. Absolutely I’m making music. I love it and I’m gonna live it."

So, what do you guys think? Are you sad about this hiatus or was it about time?

Gerri said, “Fundamentally we are friends first and foremost. We started out that way, that very strong friendship, and whatever happens afterwards is a bonus. We always talk about creative plans and possibilities, definitely…And yes [we did talk about that last week].

She went on to say, “Right now, we are gathering information and thinking about possibilities, but when you’re evolving a plan you don’t share it to the world until it’s concrete. If they do cement themselves, I’ll be the first to tell you.”

Shakira is from New Jersey and has been dancing since she was just three years old, which means she should definitely be bring some spark to the Fantanas. I’m sure she’ll do wonderfully with the other girls and I think she’s definitely got what it takes.

You can watch a video of her with Chilli as well as chatting about how excited she is! She’s beautiful and clearly has a great personality. Congrats to Shakira!

According to The Daily Mirror, Kimberly said,  “You know what? Right now, we just finished touring the world. We’re all kind of taking some time to think about ourselves and just relax for a second and I think that we’re just kind of figuring out what is the next step for the Pussycat Dolls. I don’t know the answer yet.”

She adds, “Once we have been on the road together for years at a time, we do come to a point – as soon as we land, we go our separate ways for a while. Then we always talk through text and we always catch up with what each is doing. Twitter has been great to us, Facebook, all of these things. Then we creep back into each other’s lives and we’ll have dinner and hang out girls’ nights, or go out, whatever we need to do to be friends.”

She continues, “We live a sisterhood, a close knit little bubble that we’re stuck in, so instead of it being about business and performing and traveling the world, it’s like, ‘OK, well what about us as people?’.”

Where do you think the future will take PCD? Will they finally break up after all of those rumors? Hopefully, they just do what’s right for them. I a fan of theirs and they definitely pump out some catchy tunes, but whatever makes them happiest is great with me!

Then, Mraz has had a 17% download increase for his hit single “I’m Yours.” He went from 32-25 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is tied for the longest a single has remained on the Hot 100. He is tied with LeAnn Rimes right now with her single “How Do I Live.”

That’s awesome! It’s amazing how much BEP have dominated and Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours” has been everywhere! Good for them!

Despite these rumors, the creator of the Dolls, Robin Antin took to Twitter where she denied it. She wrote, "The Pussycat Dolls r NOT breaking up…. & IF they ever were, u would hear it from ME 1st."

She also assured fans that the girls will very well be coming out with a third album! She writes, "NOT GOSSIP…Album #3 on the way!"

Kimberly Wyatt, a less featured member of the Dolls said that she’s disappointed about how much attention is on Nicole, “It’s true, there has always been a lot of focus on Nicole which has been hard to deal with sometimes. This group was created with a foundation, they knew exactly what they wanted and they had Nicole as the focus."

Melody Thornton also expressed, “Nicole’s always had extra things going on as opposed to the rest of us, but we have aspirations as well. It’s definitely a huge misconception that we are just chilling and happy to just be members of the group.”

I guess these PCD breakup rumors will just keep on going…
