All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah

Mariah Carey’s version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is one of my most favorite Christmas songs to listen to around the holidays. “All I Want For Christmas Is You“, an original composition, was part of Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas album which is also her 5th album released on 1994. Contrary to the misconception that the song was a cover, Mariah and Walter Afanasieff actually collaborated to write this original song. Other artists such as Shania Twain, My Chemical Romance, The Cheetah Girls, and others have made their own versions of the song. As much as I respect these artists, nothing beats Mariah’s version.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” was even featured in one of my favorite movies of all time in 2003, Love Actually. In 2006, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” became the best-selling holiday ringtone of all time. I should know, it was my ringtone as well .

Britney & Madonna : Me Against The Music

I’m wishing real hard that Madonna and Britney work together again to actually be on the same place at the same time. Instead of just Britney on a jumbo screen while Madonna performs live, alone. Kinda like when Madonna agreed to be in one of Britney’s video. Madonna heard the song “Me Against The Music” while rehearsing that infamous VMA performance where they kissed each other (Christina Aguilera was there too). Madonna told Britney she liked it so Brit-Brit asked if she wanted to be in the video with her. Madonna said sure why not and Pop Music history happened. Pop Queen and Pop Princess together, dancing and well, just being abso-freaking-lutely FABULOUS.

I love this song, the remix and of course the video.

Boy Band : Invisible Man by 98°

I feel like posting Boy Bands today, so first up is 98°. This is their video for Invisible Man.

98° were considered the “Manly” Boy Band. Invisible Man was the song which showed the world they’re around and they could actually sing. They’re not the “cute ones” but rather the grown up handsome boy band .

A litlte 98° trivia for you, when 9/11 happened, that’s when Jessica Simpson realized she didn’t want to go through life without Nick Lachey. We all know what happened after that. Anyhoo, 9/11 was also the factor as to why the group decided to not continue anymore. Life is short and they wanted to concetrate on their families. I wish they would reunite someday but we haven’t heard any rumors of it whatsoever so the chances are it’s zilch. Besides, Nick and Drew are doing ok with their respected solo careers. But never say never though. NKTOB is a proof of that .

It’s Benji Madden, Not Benjamin Madden

Someone informed me a month ago that Benji Madden from Good Charlotte doesn’t like being called Benjamin Madden. Apparently I broke some kind of rule coz Oh My Gosh how could I have called Benji Madden as Benjamin. And to think I was only interested in finding out where I could find Paris Hiton’s white flats for less… LOL. The avid fan of Good Charlotte said Benji hates being called Benjamin and that there’s a reason. To which I replied :

..nice to know but I couldn’t care less.. LOL. *CLICK*

So I guess that’s one piece of Good Charlotte trivia I could share with you guys. Just in case you see Benji walking around Hollywood with the most useless accessory on earth aka Paris Hilton, try not to call him Benjamin. Unless of course you want to get hit by tubes of Maybelline mascaras. Oooops, I’m sorry, he uses M.A.C? Cover Girl? Well Shoot……..

Interestingly enough, when I searched for the picture above, I typed in “Benjamin Madden” and Benji Madden’s pictures came up. Hmmm..

Pop Music Scene Trivia would be something you’ll see featured here from time to time. I’m pretty sure you guys know most of them but hey, let’s do it for the young fans of Pop Music.
