In the Spotlight: New Artist Marina Chello

She worked hard at voice and music classes and eventually got recognition through her MySpace page. In particular, she caught the eye of Harve Pierre, the President of Bad Boys Records, who signed her on to his label. He and Sean “P. Diddy" Combs worked as the executive producers for her album What’s Done is …read more

Spotlight: Hot Chelle Rae’s “I Like To Dance” – Audio

Have you heard of these guys? Well, if not, you might be hearing a lot more from them. They are Hot Chelle Rae and they’re a pop/rock/dance type of band. They’re song “I Like to Dance” is super catchy and fun to listen to. I literally want to get up and start dancing to it. The song has a unique sound to it, likely attributed to the mix of genres incorporated in there.  The tune is off of their debut album Lovesick Electric and is strong in every way. Vocals are good, the beat is good and it’s catchy! …read more

Introducing New Girl Group: The Paradiso Girls!

I’m always excited when a new girl group comes around, so when I heard about one of the newest up and coming groups, the Paradiso Girls, I was more than thrilled. These girls are fierce and sexy, in their own  ways. What makes this quintet so special is that they are so culturally diverse. They all hail from different countries being Barbados, England, France, Philippines, and the U.S.

You should note that the Paradiso Girls were founded by  Robin Antin, who also founded the Pussycat Dolls.  The group is composed of Aria, Chelsea, Kelly, Lauren and Shar. These ladies …read more

Album Review : The Fame by Lady Gaga

I know this is a late review of Lady Gaga’s The Fame album but I say, better late than never. I didn’t even plan on writing one. I never even planned on buying her CD. I was just happy listening to her songs being played at XM satellite radio. But my husband must have been reading my mind yesterday morning because I woke up with the song "Poker Face" in my head. He came home from an errand yesterday and handed me Lady Gaga’s album. How sweet of him, no?

So I popped the CD in and put it …read more

Once I listened to the whole album myself, it was apparent that Taxi Doll is under Pop Music category. The songs sounded like Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani with a touch of …read more
