So…what’s the point of having all of her music? Well, the musical comedy has decided they want to air an episode of all strictly Madonna’s singles. 

You can expect to see this episode airing sometime in the early months of next year. Sounds like it’s going to be one heck of an episode!

Dianna Agron, who plays pregnant cheerleader, Quinn on the show is rumored to be singing Madonna’s old hit “Papa Don’t Preach.” She said of Madonna,  "When do you stop listening to Madonna? I went home for Thanksgiving last year and we had a bunch of family friends and family over.

“Somebody put on a string of three Madonna songs and the boys were more into it than the girls. It was hysterical, like something out of a movie."

Madonna has been keeping pretty busy, with the release of her new greatest hits collection, Celebration and the music video for the title track as well as the adoption of her new baby girl, Mercy. I’m sure this will be cool for her to watch!

She was asked about what she felt about the constant comparisons between herself and newbie, Lady Gaga. Madonna said that she did see the similarities between them and that “When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production. She’s got holes in her fishnets, and there’s mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that IT Factor. It’s nice to see that at a raw stage.”

Madonna’s worked with a lot of people including Justin Timberlake, who she says she admires and is a great songwriter. She calls him “sort of a Cary Grant. I love him. I love working with him."

Yes, working with Justin has been great, but the Queen of Pop says that she wishes she would have been able to work with a special rapper, who just didn’t give a hoot enough to try. "I wanted to work with Eminem. I don’t think he wanted to work with me. Maybe he’s shy."

That could have made an interesting collaboration! Continuing on with the interview, Madonna was also not afraid to admit that her divorce from Guy Ritchie was not at all pleasant. She admits that it was "…challenging…I’m very grateful that I had work to do. I may have thrown myself off a building.”

On what was the most challenging part of her career, she says, "Working on EVITA. It’s a whole different singing sensibility. I had to seriously work with a vocal coach."

Well, now with the release of her greatest hits CD, Celebration, it’s nice to hear a bit from Madonna about her career and personal life!

It’s unclear whether or not they want her to host, perform or do both so we’ll have to see if she even appears at all! This would be her first performance on the show in about 16 years.

In other news, rumors have been shot down that Madonna and Janet Jackson would be recording a duet in tribute to Michael Jackson. The two were also rumored to have gone out to dinner together after the VMAS, a rumor which was also shut down.

I always like tuning in to SNL, but would you guys tune in particularly to see Madonna?

She went on to talk about the similarities between both of them and how he had it worst, because he lost his childhood. She also went on to talk about how they had gotten closer, but then the two stopped talking. Following that, the media began their hateful headlines and everything he did was criticized. Madonna basically said that herself, the media and all the hateful people had abandoned Michael when he needed them the most.  It was pretty emotional speech, and you could tell that some of it really got to her. Take a look at it below.

Then, a tribute performance was put on for Michael, and later Janet came out and performed her Michael’s duet for “Scream.” It was purely amazing.

The song is off of her third greatest hits compilation CD by the name of “Celebration.” It was co-produced by both Madonna and Paul Oakenfold.

I’m sorry, but am I the only one who was a bit grossed out by Madonna’s dancing? I mean, I know she wouldn’t be Madonna without her signature “sexy” moves but this was just….not nice. Anyways what did you guys think of the music video?

What do you guys think of the single (listen to it in full, here)? I find it so boring and unoriginal. I just expected a bit more from Madonna, who has continually delivered on her albums. But this just really doesn’t move me in any way. I am, however, interested in her Celebration album, which is her third, yes, third greatest hits compilation.

The album will be available in two-CD set or you can just buy it as a single CD. Also, for those huge Madonna fans, she’s releasing a DVD for Celebration where you’ll not only get to listen to her tracks but you’ll also get to see some of her music videos (including ones that are never-before-seen) and the music video for “Celebration.” The compilation will be available on September 29th.  The track listing for the albums has been released, so I’ve included it here.

Earlier in the day, Madonna  was treated to a bouquet of flowers and was spotted having breakfast at the Splendido Hotel with boyfriend Jesus Luz. Hopefully she had a wonderful 51st birthday!
