In 2008, he released his Departure album, however, he has re-released the album over his summer tour and has called it Departure: Recharged.  The music video shows shots of Jesse in the recording studio, on stage, hanging out, as well as some shots of some sexy ladies in bikinis.

I don’t want to like this song, but unfortunately I do! It’s catchy, cute, and is definitely a “chick-friendly” song. What do you guys think of the single and music video?

On the Jonas Brothers, Jesse says, “I never wore a promise ring like them. It’s a big step for them to be open about their virginity. I’ve seen them take a lot of heat. But I respect them, if that’s what they want to do. It’s cool.”

On charity work, “She’s [my mom] a cool chick… [I] grew up in a Christian household. We went to church every Sunday. I do think it’s my duty to give back. That’s why I’m involved with St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Bono is my inspiration not only as a rock star but as a humanitarian. We aren’t just put on this earth to sell records. Maybe it’s because of my upbringing, but I do consider myself a moral guy.”

On what he likes to watch on television, “All I watch is the Food Network. I took a cheese making class a few weeks ago, and I told my family and friends to only get me kitchen stuff on my birthday. I’m into every kind of cookbook and anything by Anthony Bourdain. I’d love to own a restaurant if I could find the right chef.”

When asked about what he’s looking for in a dream girl he says, : “She’ll have to be someone who likes to eat my cooking. Or, at least, she’ll have to pretend.”

Well, that was a fun interview! Who new Jesse was interested into cooking?! Sounds like he’ll make a good husband for a lucky girl who won’t have to worry about dinner every night!

On his favorite song of theirs he says, “I think the most notable song is ‘The Right Stuff.’ I secretly know the dance – I don’t usually tell people that. But if I had to, I could probably bust out.”

He also said that while preparing to go on stage he likes to burn off a bit of energy with his band mates, “We usually – the guys and I, since I have a big band of guys, so there’s a lot of testosterone and adrenaline right before we go on stage – we usually pump some weights. Then we usually have a word of the day. Everyone huddles up, and we say a quick prayer, and then on the count of three everyone says the word of the day. The word of the day is whatever was funny earlier that day, whatever makes us laugh.”

Jesse admits that he’s excited to be going on tour with NKOTB, “I’m looking forward to getting back out on the road. It’s been a while since I’ve toured. It will give me a chance to perform the new records, one of which is the next single. It’s a little bit more of an older audience, as far as the nostalgic crowd goes.”

That is so exciting! I love Jesse and I love NKOTB. I went to a New Kids concert last year and it was quite a good show, so if you can find a way to go, you should. Any of you thinking about picking up tickets?

He also recently shared some info about what prom was like for him. He told MTV, “[It was] the classic prom. The big stretch limo. Stupid size limo. Ridiculous looking. And good friends. It was a memorable prom, memorable dance.”

Aw! I’m sure lots of girls would love to have gone to prom with Jesse.

Listen to "How Do You Sleep?" remix featuring Ludacris below.

What do you think? I didn’t really hear any significant change from the original version. It’s not the huge of a difference. Ludacris’s part came on half-way. It’s still good but song remixes these days have been very disappointing. It wasn’t like years ago when a song actually gets a makeover to sound different from the original version. Nowadays, a new small part is added, a few changes on the rhythm maybe and that’s about it. "How Do You Sleep?" is a perfect example of that.

I’ve never watched Jesse McCartney perform Leavin‘ live before this morning on Today Show. I have to tell you, I was very impressed. Jesse sounded really nice. I’ve been appreciating his fashion sense lately as well. Being a Men’s Fashion blogger, he’s definitely got my 2 thumbs up.

Yes, you’ve read that right. Pussycat Dolls, Katy Perry and Jesse McCartney will ALL be on the Today Show this Friday, August 29th. This is a big bang celebration from the morning show to end their Summer concert series.

Don’t forget to tune in on NBC, August 29th, Friday, Today Show. The show starts at 7am but they don’t usually start the concerts until about 8:30am. This is a 3 acts concert though so I don’t know how they’re going to fit Kary, PCD and Jesse in a 30 minute segment. So I guess tune in early not to miss any of them.
