Yesterday, Variety’s 1st Annual Power of Women Luncheon was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Singer, Christina Aguilera was honored there because of the work that she does for trying to fight hunger.
Christina said, “As a mom, I can’t accept that even one child could go hungry or that a child dies every six seconds from hunger. That’s why I’m so passionate about this cause.

For the first time in ten years, Cher will be hitting the big screen in a movie called “Burlesque” alongside Christina Aguilera. The movie is a contemporary musical about a small-town gal from Iowa (Aguilera) who finds herself working at a burlesque club. The club is owned by Tess (Cher) who is a former dancer and is having a hard time managing the club. She gives the Aguilera’s character the chance to sing and shine at the club.
