Madonna Ties with Elvis and The Beatles for Most #1 Albums in the UK!

With the release of her new greatest hits album, Celebration, Madonna has broken UK history! By selling 11 #1 singles, Madonna has now tied with Elvis and the Beatles in the UK. Congratulations to Madonna! Madonna also completed the highest selling tour (her Sticky & Sweet tour) for any female to date.

Her #1 selling albums in the UK are:

Jason Mraz Officially Makes History with “I’m Yours”!

How awesome is this?! Jason Mraz can officially say that he has broken a Billboard Hot 100 record! His song “I’m Yours” is the longest running song to stay on the Billboard Hot 100, beating out the song “How do I Breathe” by LeAnn Rimes.

it has also been revealed that the song has been around for quite some time. He claims that he’s been playing the song on tour for five years and that reactions to it have always been different. This, apparently, is what made him want to release the tune.

The song is off of his album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, which peak at number 3 on the Billboard 200. Good for him! He must be proud!

Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz Close to Breaking Billboard Records

It’s an exciting week for Billboard right now. Both the Black Eyed Peas and Jason Mraz must be enjoying the spotlight right now because both parties are doing exceptionally well on the charts, coming close to even breaking some of Billboard’s records. According to reports, the Black Eyed Peas have taken the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks now with their songs “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Got a Feeling”. Amazing! This ties Usher’s success in 2004 when he released his songs “Yeah” and “Burn.”

Then, Mraz has had a 17% download increase for his hit single “I’m Yours.” He went from 32-25 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is tied for the longest a single has remained on the Hot 100. He is tied with LeAnn Rimes right now with her single “How Do I Live.”

That’s awesome! It’s amazing how much BEP have dominated and Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours” has been everywhere! Good for them!

Lady Gaga Breaks Mainstream Top 40 Record

Lady Gaga has been put in the Billboard records as only the third person in Mainstream Top 40 history to have three #1 hit singles from their debut album! These three singles are “Just Dance”, “Poker Face” and “LoveGame.” All of these songs are off of Gaga’s album “The Fame”, which has made it to the top 5 on Billboard’s 200 Album Chart. The album has sold 1,162,000 copies.

Other artists who accomplished what Lady Gaga did were Ace of Base ("The Sign", "All That She Wants," and "Don’t Turn Around") as well as punk singer Avril Lavigne ("Complicated", "Sk8er Boi" and "I’m With You").

Congrats to Gaga! I’m sure that feels great considering for how little time she’s been in the industry!

Mariah Carey Touched Her 18th #1 Hit

Mariah Carey knocked Elvis aka The King, no less for the 2nd spot on having the most #1 hits on the all-time Hot 100 Number 1 list. The Beatles is still holding on to their #1 spot with 20 hits. Mimi’s new single “Touch My Body” from her new album “E=MC2” is yet to hit stores so she still has a chance of knocking the Beatles down from their #1 position. WTG Mariah! .
