Ashanti Mentors MTV’s Top Pop Groups

On the premiere night of MTV’s Top Pop Group show, Eve mentored the groups. This week, it’s Ashanti’s turn. Watch Ashanti imparts her knowledge and experience to the Pop Group contestants.

BTW, if you missed last week, the judges eliminated the first group. Unfortunately, LS3  just wasn’t up to par with the rest. I think the fact that they said they’re not a dancing group worked against them. If you’re going to compete to be the next Top Pop Group, you gotta cover all your basis. If you don’t dance, well you better bring on your instruments like Jonas Brothers, Tokio Hotel or any other groups that don’t necessarily want to categorize their group as one of the Boy Bands like N’Sync or Female Groups like Pussycat Dolls.

This Thursday’s show (10PM/ET), it’s the fans turn to vote who should stay in the show. After the show, the voting lines and TopPop.MTV.com will be open. Get to know the Pop Groups and vote for who you think deserves to stay after watching their performance. Let’s hope the groups listen and learn from Ashanti.
