Arista Said Goodbye To Blake Lewis

Blake Lewis, American Idol 6 Runner-Up sadly reported on his Myspace Blog that Arista won’t be his home for his music any longer. Here’s an excerpt of his blog :

Ring, ring, ring went the phone. Iain my manager baring the news. Arista isn’t picking up the second option. Meaning, I’m not doin another record with them. I’m totally fine with this… I was just wishing they would have put the word out to me over the last couple months, because lets face it….. Waiting SUCKS!!!! I could have known this 2 months ago, when all of RCA was going through there changes. Oh well. I guess the right time was now. No biggy.

Blake Lewis is looking at the positive side though. He said getting RCA to do his remixes was like pulling teeth. His own friends has done it for him and it’s hitting the charts real well. His single “How Many Words” is currently on #29 on Top 40. Besides, he’s still under 19 Recordings management, and he is getting ready for a new tour and working on a new record.
